Martha Marcy May Marlene online

SEAN Durkin psychological thriller Martha Marcy May Marlene got a lot of buzz in Sundance Film Festival, in large part to her head, Elizabeth Olsen, younger sister and many more talented twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley. I am happy to say the appreciation of Olsen is deserved, but the film that I'm still not entirely sold. When the film really succeeds is in its tight editing and deliberately ambiguous ending, but why everything is still a little fuzzy.

If you are confused by the title, do not worry, I think it's just long and quixotic to ensure marketing is damn near impossible, but the story centers on Martha (Olsen), a twenty year old who is caught abusive cult in upstate New York. The name "Marcy May" is almost raped and brainwashed while under the control of an effective leader who plays a creepy misogyny John Hawkes (Winter of the bone). I do not want me to succeed, the film plays like a simple story.

The story bounces back and forth in time, and begins to Martha flees into the woods and finally took his older sister (Sarah Paulson). Martha Cross rescue visibly afraid, but does not share her story with her sister and sister's husband (Hugh Dancy), while spending time in their lake house in Connecticut.

Martha fears for them, it runs its learned behavior throws a wrench in her relationship with her sister, she has not seen or spoken since running off two years ago. Whether she jumps into the lake completely naked for a swim or curling in bed when they have sex, Martha clearly has problems, which is also where the film opens to the review.

Martha shows serious signs of trauma, but his sister and his brother, not pushing too hard for information, although there are times when you really should. On the other hand, it is not treated with kid gloves, often verbally assaulted and trial by their behavior. This may seem a contradiction of some kind of communication, bad for others and may actually contribute to a greater truth has come to Martha sister not spoil here. Finally, it is a matter of how you choose to interpret the relationship that clearly does not work, but how remains unclear.

The climax of the film is undoubtedly Elizabeth Olsen. Beautiful and feminine with the proper way instead of another Hollywood stick figure, Olsen is a talent that we will see much in the future if it comes to right-click functions. It has an honesty of his delivery and his eyes are active and in depth, allowing you to be moved by a single glance. It offers a real emotion on the screen, making it easy to maintain.

Paulson and Dancy are also strong, although their characters are really the question mark in the film. I think I could be convinced on how to interpret their characters fully, but I have to watch the movie again to be sure.

First time writer-director Sean Durkin feature deliberately leaves many of the motivations of his characters in the air so you can draw your own conclusions. It's a gamble, but ultimately I think it pays.

I can not really explain why this film has to exist, or why the story must be told, but is strangely attractive, mainly because of its honest approach. There will be a film that could make a film property and watch over and over again, but could easily become a feature to do once or twice and never again. This is a difficult film to understand, and even if I accept the challenge, I'm not sure if I give too much credit or not enough.
